Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay outlined the TVK government's 100-day governance roadmap — a structured plan covering priority actions in infrastructure, welfare delivery, anti-corruption initiatives, and administrative reform. The roadmap follows the early governance actions of May 10 and builds on the cabinet's first working sessions.
- Infrastructure: Road and drainage upgrades in 10 districts — Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Erode, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Thanjavur, Tiruppur
- Welfare: Full rollout of Singappen Athiradi Padai across all districts
- Health: Equipment upgrades in 50 government hospitals
- Education: Student stipend expansion and Tamil-medium support
- Agriculture: Mango farmer procurement support, paddy MSP procurement
- Anti-Corruption: 65 anti-drug squads fully operational
- Finance: White Paper on state finances to be published by Day 90
- TASMAC: 717 outlet closures completed and reviewed
Accountability Mechanism
The government announced that the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) will publish a public report on delivery of 100-day commitments — a first for Tamil Nadu governance. CM Vijay specifically pledged to hold department heads accountable for delays and to name underperforming officials in public reports.
Infrastructure — 10 Districts
The ₹3,000-crore infrastructure package for 10 districts focuses on urban roads, storm water drainage, and last-mile connectivity. The package is funded partly by the state budget and partly through central infrastructure grants, with the government committing to transparent contractor selection and quality audits.
White Paper on Finances
One of TVK's most notable governance commitments — publishing a White Paper on Tamil Nadu's financial state within the first year — is on track. Finance Minister Rajmohan Arumugam's team has begun the audit of state finances inherited from the DMK government, with preliminary findings expected by late June 2026.
